How to get your new website found on Google: a launch checklist

Launching a website is exciting, but a new site is invisible to Google until you help it get discovered. A short checklist at launch sets the foundation for search visibility.

The launch checklist

  • Verify the site in Google Search Console and submit your sitemap.
  • Make sure pages aren't accidentally blocked (robots, noindex).
  • Set unique titles and descriptions on every page.
  • Add structured data where it fits (FAQ, LocalBusiness, breadcrumbs).
  • Set up your Google Business Profile if you're local.

Then be patient (and keep publishing)

Indexing and ranking take time. Keep adding useful content and earning links, and your visibility compounds over the months after launch.
