How to write service pages that rank and convert
For most service businesses, individual service pages are the real workhorses — they capture people searching for a specific thing you do. A strong service page ranks for that search and turns the visitor into a lead.
One page per service
Give each distinct service its own page. 'Emergency plumbing' and 'water heater installation' are different searches with different intent — a single generic 'Services' page ranks for neither well.
What each page needs
- A clear headline naming the service and location.
- What's included, and what makes you the right choice.
- Answers to the common questions (price, timeline, area).
- Proof — reviews, examples — and a clear call to action.
Write for the searcher
Use the words your customers actually search, answer their real questions, and make the next step obvious. That combination is what ranks and converts.
