Footer design: the most underrated part of your website
The footer is easy to ignore, but a lot of visitors scroll straight to it looking for contact details, hours, or links. A well-designed footer quietly improves navigation, trust, and even SEO.
What belongs in a footer
- Contact info and hours.
- Key navigation and important pages.
- Links to your legal and policy pages.
- Social links (if you keep them active).
- A final call to action.
Keep it organized
Group links logically and don't overload it. A clear footer catches people who scrolled looking for something specific — and its internal links help search engines find your pages.
