What heatmaps reveal about your website
A heatmap is a visual overlay showing where people click, move, and how far they scroll on a page. It turns invisible visitor behaviour into something you can actually see — and act on.
What they tell you
- Whether people notice your call to action.
- How far down the page they actually scroll.
- What they click (and what they click that isn't a link).
- Where attention goes — and where it doesn't.
Use them to improve
If nobody scrolls to your CTA, move it up. If people click something that isn't clickable, make it a link. Heatmaps (via privacy-respecting tools, with consent) turn hunches into informed fixes.
