How to check if your pages are indexed by Google

A page that Google hasn't indexed simply can't appear in search. Checking your indexation is a quick, important habit — especially after launching or changing a site.

How to check

  • Search 'site:yourdomain.com' to see roughly what's indexed.
  • Use Google Search Console's URL Inspection for a specific page.
  • Check the Pages report in Search Console for what's indexed and what isn't (and why).

If pages are missing

Make sure they aren't blocked (robots) or set to 'noindex', that they're in your sitemap, and that they're linked from other pages. Thin or duplicate pages may need to be improved before Google indexes them.
